HOW THE STRATEGIC REVIEW AND PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT SERVICE WORKS

The MarketWorks Advisory team will typically begin the study by reviewing the programme objectives, business outcomes and/or the business case for the programme. They will then analyse the programme documentation such as plans, deliverables and reports. From this, together with the initial brief, a plan will be drafted for the rest of the survey.

The next phase will typically consist of interviews and deeper investigations to assess the structures and processes. Where required the team will attend steering committee meetings, review business outcomes and check that acceptance criteria have been met. Adequacy of resources and budgets will be reviewed. Success criteria and measurements will be reviewed and confirmed.

The third phase, which can usually run concurrently with the second phase, consists of analyzing the information already reviewed, referencing research material, confirming facts, and testing practicality of recommendations. The final phase consists of drafting and presenting the findings and recommendations.
